The 14th Dongsheng Cup International Entrepreneurship Competition New Zealand Division Project Roadshow concluded successfully in 2026.

The 14th Dongsheng Cup International Entrepreneurship Competition New Zealand Division Project Roadshow was held in Auckland on the afternoon of October 14, 2026, and was organized by the New Zealand China Investment and Trade Promotion Association and the New Zealand Origin Technology Innovation Club.

Founded in 2013 and hosted by Zhongguancun Dongsheng Science Park, the “Dongsheng Cup” International Entrepreneurship Competition has been successfully held for 13 sessions. Open to innovative and entrepreneurial projects worldwide, the competition has attracted 18,460 outstanding projects from 100 countries and cities, including over 3,000 overseas projects, with over 3,500 projects receiving subsequent incubation support. The competition provides a one-stop technology innovation service platform, covering seven dimensions: entrepreneurship training, financial services, brand promotion, policy consultation, resource matching, space support, and talent services, providing services more than 30,000 times to date.

This event is a concrete implementation of the cooperation agreement signed in early September by the Zhongguancun Dongsheng Science Park in Haidian District, Beijing, during their visit to New Zealand and signing of a cooperation agreement for the New Zealand division of the 14th Dongsheng Cup International Entrepreneurship Competition. Mr. Zong Yuan, Chairman of the New Zealand-China Investment and Trade Promotion Association, representing the event’s organizers, first introduced the event’s background and implementation rules.

Following this, five shortlisted New Zealand companies, selected by experts, participated in the project roadshow. These companies included an AI innovation company, an online translation company, a Maori technology innovation company, and a New Zealand traditional honey health product R&D company. They presented their projects both online and offline, delivering compelling presentations and explanations covering aspects such as business models, founding team introductions, product and market analysis, financial and risk management, and innovation.

This event also invited several leading figures in investment and entrepreneurship, international exchange, and scientific and technological cooperation to serve as judges, conduct comprehensive evaluations and scores of the participating projects, and submit the final evaluation results to the competition organizing committee for advancement review.

On-site judges asked questions and provided feedback on the submitted projects.

Following the roadshow, participants engaged in free-flowing discussions and explored potential areas of collaboration. They unanimously agreed that hosting this event in New Zealand further bridges the gap between Chinese and New Zealand’s science and technology innovation resources, facilitating the entry of high-quality New Zealand innovative and entrepreneurial companies into the Chinese market and promoting practical and in-depth cooperation between the two countries in science and technology innovation and industry.

The project leader listened attentively to the other presentations.
The guests also shared their views on the various projects.

We look forward to the New Zealand participating companies advancing to the semi-finals in early November and competing in the global Top 6 finals at the end of November, achieving fruitful results, and having their projects land in Beijing Zhongguancun Dongsheng Science Park, creating new achievements in Sino-New Zealand cooperation in the field of science and technology.
