“Art Gathering in Wuxi”—a joint exhibition bringing together contemporary artists from New Zealand and China—opened at 3:00 pm on May 30 at the New Zealand Art Lifestyle Museum located in Wuxi Music City.
The opening ceremony brought together nearly 100 people, including artists, entrepreneurs, cultural officials, and art enthusiasts from Wuxi and the Yangtze River Delta region.
The exhibition is jointly hosted by Wuxi Yinyue City and the New Zealand China Investment and Trade Promotion Association, and co-organized by Auckland International Art Space Museum and Beijing Kaiwei Cultural Development Co., Ltd., with Beijing Songyigong International Art Development Co., Ltd. and Xi’an Huajian New Zealand Contemporary Art Center providing support.
This joint exhibition invited 30 artists from China and New Zealand to present 80 works, and also featured a special exhibition area showcasing New Zealand companies’ featured products.
Art Exhibition
The exhibition coincided with the grand opening of the Music City in Wuxi, the “City of Music,” attracting many people from Wuxi and the Yangtze River Delta region to visit and experience the unique atmosphere of music and art blending together. It has become an important event for international cultural exchange in this historic city.
The exhibition will run until July 28 (starting from June 1), and we sincerely invite all art lovers to Wuxi to enjoy this grand event of art and music amidst the leisurely atmosphere of the Yangtze River Delta. Simultaneously, a wide range of distinctive products from New Zealand companies will be on display – wine, honey, honey water, alpaca blankets, organic tea, coffee, dairy products, and art-related merchandise – bringing the charm of New Zealand’s art, its healthy lifestyle, and its high-quality living to audiences in the Yangtze River Delta region.
