On the morning of September 7th, a high-level business delegation jointly organized by the New Zealand Chinese Business Club and the Auckland Chamber of Commerce attended the “Open Chengdu, Connect the World” China (Chengdu) – New Zealand Economic and Trade Matchmaking Conference held at the Chengdu European Center, officially kicking off this trip to China! The delegation was jointly led by Simon Bridges, CEO of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and former Minister of New Zealand, and Dr. Jian Yang, Chairman of the New Zealand Chinese Business Club and former Member of Parliament.
Ms. Zhao Ling, CEO of Auckland International Art Space , and Ms. Yang Li, Chairman of Chengdu Nongyuan International Art Expo Park, participated in and accompanied the comprehensive inspection tour of Chengdu.
On September 8th, the business delegation had a full schedule for the second day. In the morning, the delegation visited the Sichuan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, followed by a buffet reception hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Economic Cooperation Bureau; in the afternoon, they participated in the “Shu Yi Shu Er Salon: China (Sichuan) – New Zealand Economic and Trade Matchmaking Meeting” hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
