Shenzhen

On May 27, 2024, the 20th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Expo came to a successful conclusion. This event not only showcased the cultural essence of the world, but also witnessed the unique style of New Zealand. The “New Zealand National Art and Life Museum” jointly launched by ten New Zealand companies including the New Zealand China Investment and Trade Promotion Council, the Auckland International Art Space Art Gallery, Hainan Airlines Auckland Office, Origin Honey, ZeaLong Organic Tea Farm, Pacific Alpaca Imported Products, Dianji Dairy, Ailand Kiwi Wine, Wuwan Winery, FLOX Art Studio and Golden Harbor Real Estate Co., Ltd. and more than ten New Zealand contemporary artists has become one of the highlights of this Expo.

The “New Zealand National Art and Living Museum” attracted a large number of visitors with its unique charm. The museum displays 20 contemporary New Zealand art works, fully demonstrating the creativity and imagination of New Zealand artists. In addition to art works, the museum also displays high-quality products from New Zealand, such as Origin honey, ZeaLong organic tea, Pacific alpaca products, dairy products from Dianji Dairy, Ailand kiwifruit wine and wine from Fog Bay Winery. These products not only showcase New Zealand’s natural resources and production processes, but also convey New Zealand’s unique lifestyle and cultural charm.

Hainan Airlines

The success of the “New Zealand National Art and Living Museum” is inseparable from the strong support of Hainan Airlines Auckland Office. As a SKYTRAX “Five-Star Airline”, Hainan Airlines currently operates direct flights from Auckland, New Zealand to Shenzhen and Haikou. Account Manager Xiang Man introduced the route content of Hainan Airlines in detail at the exhibition, emphasizing the convenient transportation conditions these routes provide for cultural exchanges and trade between China and New Zealand. Through these routes, you can easily travel from Auckland, New Zealand to major domestic cities in China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, and transfer to international cities such as Brussels, Paris, Rome, and Milan via Shenzhen.

The “New Zealand National Art and Living Pavilion” was warmly welcomed by the Chinese market and consumers during the Shenzhen Cultural Expo. More than a dozen Chinese print and online media reported on it, and Shenzhen consumers also actively visited the New Zealand Pavilion for exchanges and purchases, and checked in and shared on social media, quickly setting off a New Zealand craze. This not only showcased New Zealand’s national image, but also laid a solid foundation for the promotion of New Zealand brands in the Chinese market.

Through this successful exhibition, New Zealand’s culture and brand have won a good reputation in the Chinese market. In the future, we will continue to promote New Zealand’s brands and art in China, promote deeper cultural exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, and bring the unique charm of New Zealand to more people.

Hand-painted stencil spray paint, acrylic, plywood

FLOX’s masterful depictions of China’s iconic peony and chrysanthemum, blooming in vibrant shades of red, evoke the country’s rich heritage. A mythological interpretation of the red-crowned crane, standing tall and crowned with a majestic crown, symbolizes its royal status in FLOX’s imagination.

SWEAT’s contemporary brushstrokes breathe life into Shenzhen’s urban landscape. An abstract face emerges from the canvas, reflecting the diversity and energy of city life, while hints of technology are cleverly incorporated into the composition, echoing the innovation and modernity of Shenzhen’s bustling streets. The large number of eyes throughout the painting symbolizes humanity, capturing the collective energy and interconnectedness of the city’s community.
